For his spring 2013 bridal collection, Oscar de la Renta paraded traditional lace wedding gowns with high, regal necklines and more contemporary, risque stunners down the runway, including a thigh-high side-slit gown (a trend that first emerged last fall), a dress paired with a dramatic tulle cape (easily removed to create two-looks-in-one), and a two-piece ensemble featuring a white bustier crop top and white palazzo pants. Lady-like accessories included shimmering white tights, sheer white gloves, and white satin pumps and booties.
And while Vera Wang was seeing red for her spring collection, Mr. De La Renta was apparently inspired by “something blue,” including beautiful blue dresses and a pretty, pastel floral-print dress in his line up.
